Calender stress

Argh! If there is one thing I have trouble dealing with it is a tight schedule that is changed at few moments later.

Sad basil

I had the feeling my basil plant wasn't too happy in my kitchen window sill. Despite my good care its leaves were looking weak and sad.

[ lack of care wasn't the root of the problem... ]

A cute little green catterpillar...

The catterpillar had made itself a nice home and was sleeping. I gave it a new home outside. I was curious to find out whether it tasted of basil, but didn't dare to check...

Bug invasion

For some time now, I've been plagued by a mini insect invasion at home.

[ to be honest, I think they're rather cute... ]

In the past two weeks I've discovered at least five ladybugs in my home. I know, There are worse and more scray insects to find in your home, but still I'd like to know where they are coming from...

This one was on my lamp and is still there somewhere...

Wind walking

Thought it was a good day to catch a breath of fresh air. I headed to Amsterdam North, passed Schellingwoude and Durgerdam and walked next to the IJsselmeer until I reached Monnickendam.

[ there I congratulated Chris quickly with getting his drivers licence... ]

Mail a train

Yesterday in the train returning from kendo fitness training I spotted something unusual on the fold-away table next to the window.

An Englsih stamp was glued to the small table...

I do not know what the person that stuck the stamp on the table was thinking, but if you want to mail a train, you need to clearly indicate the address you want the train delivered at.

[ and one small stamp is probably not enough... ]

Museum night

I should have know this venue could sell out. And no tickets were sold at the door.

[ luckily the public library was open... ]

Beautiful building, the new library in Amsterdam. It reminded me of the inside of a spaceship you see in science fiction series like Star Trek. White, little bit sterile, spaceous and everything brand new...

In the cellar they even had a real Krullevaar...

After visiting the library (and reading a book: Lila and Snowbal) I took an evening stroll past all the museum night events I had planned to visit. Now I only saw the outside of musea (and lots of people queuing to get in), next year I need to realize to get a ticket before it sells out...
